Terms of use

DIMLOCK

Last updated 12 October 2026. These terms apply to the DimLock app for Android (package com.mysecondwish.blackscreen) and to DimLock Pro, provided by Farrukh Shahzad. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. The app

DimLock shows a dark, touch-blocking layer over other apps so a video or audio can keep playing with the screen dark. The free version is yours to use at no cost. DimLock Pro adds optional extra features, described in the app and on the app's page.

2. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms. Google Play's own terms also apply to apps you get from Google Play.

3. DimLock Pro subscriptions and purchases

4. Using the app sensibly

DimLock reduces accidental taps; it is not a security, parental-control or child-safety product. Android always lets the phone be used in some ways while it is locked, for example swiping up to go home. Supervise children using your phone, and don't rely on the app where an accidental touch could cause harm. Don't use the app while driving or in any way that breaks the law or the terms of the apps you use it with.

5. Features that depend on your phone

How the app behaves depends on your phone, Android version and the other apps you use. For example, some phones close background apps to save battery, and some video apps stop playing when the screen is off. Battery-saving figures in the app are estimates. We work to keep the app reliable but can't promise it works the same on every device.

6. Updates and changes

We may update the app to fix problems, add or change features, or keep up with Android and Google Play. If we remove a Pro feature you have paid for, we will aim to offer something of similar value or a fair remedy.

7. Privacy

How we handle data is explained in the DimLock Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Farrukh Shahzad is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, battery or device use, arising from the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; remember to cancel any subscription in Google Play, as uninstalling does not cancel it. We may stop offering the app, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change materially affects paying subscribers, we will tell you in the app before it applies.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
